Technology
This vehicle provides its drivers with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument panel and head-up display. These technologies show drivers their driving speed and other necessary information such as gas mileage, tire pressure, and audio settings. These features are all controlled through a voice command system that allows users to control the car without taking their hands off the steering wheel.
This vehicle is available with a standard 8.8-inch touchscreen or an optional 10.3-inch display. The 8.8-inch standard screen comes paired with an analog instrument cluster in a classic black-and-silver design and an optional 10.3-inch digital cluster designed to look like an analog one. These clusters are integrated into a single display that runs through the vehicle's functions; everything from navigation and vehicle information to audio settings and climate control can be accessed from here.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are offered as a standard feature on the BMW 2 series coupe, meaning that users can connect their smartphones wirelessly to the vehicle and access applications without having to plug in any cables.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect a driver's smartphone to the vehicle's infotainment system, allowing them to access phone apps on the huge touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto combine with the navigation system to provide real-time traffic updates, directions, and Google Maps search results on the screen.
