BMW of Westlake/BMW of Middleburg Heights is proud to be able to donate to the Berea Police Department and the Fraternal Order of the Police to help fund this year's Shop With A Cop program where local police officers take children shopping for the holidays.
The Berea Police Department will take Berea City School students Christmas shopping this year for the 19th year in a row. All together with the FOP and area Police Departments, the Shop with a Cop Program is able to take dozens of kids from surrounding communities Christmas shopping.
As part of the holiday cheer, officers don Santa attire and help underprivileged children selected by local social service agencies shop with a set dollar amount and may spend it any way they want. Some children buy for their families and of course for themselves but these kids definitely know it's the season of giving. The children spend the day with the members of law enforcement from breakfast to wrapping with Santa after shopping.
