Over the last few months, quite a few automakers have been forced to recall vehicles equipped with Takata airbags. Unfortunately, BMW is now one of those many automakers. - BMW has recalled vehicles that have Takata's PSDI-5 driver side airbag inflators after finding that the parts could rupture during a crash.
- If your vehicle has these parts, BMW will replace the driver airbag on it at no cost to you.
- BMW is in the process of sending out letters related to the recall and will also be sending owners a second letter when the parts are available replacement.
