When you're watching the 2014 Olympics in Sochi this February, we suggest tuning into how the U.S. Bobsled Team; the members have a new ride that will blow the competition off the track.

What differentiates this bobsled from the rest? Well, simply, it's a BMW creation.

Fans of the brand know that means a great deal. We've seen it work its aerodynamic magic across various new BMW models, and using those techniques on the bobsled was no exception.

One technique used was wrapping the bobsled in lightweight carbon fiber, a material used in other new BMW models like the BMW i3, rather than its traditional airfoil. This in fact made the sled so light they had to add weight to have it meet weight requirements.
