The BMW brand has built a solid reputation as an innovator of technology by providing unique systems in their luxury cars. Usually once released, technology will only undergo minor tweak as updates. This isn't the case for new BMW models and 2014 is shaping up to be no different. Ganley BMW has some exciting details about the upcoming updates to share with you today!
To jump right into it, more 3 Series and 1 Series models will offer optionally-equipped BMW xDrive technology. This innovative system is electronically controlled to offer the optimal traction and stability, no matter what driving conditions. There will also be brand new diesel models available in the new 3 Series lineup that will also offer BMW xDrive.
BMW is also working to improve the efficiently of its vehicles by providing ECO PRO Mode with a cutting-edge sailing function and anticipation assistant. All models in the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series and 6 Series ranges will now come furnished with the new BMW 8-speed auto transmission or sports transmission which will have the new sailing mode to increase fuel economy.
Finally, Driving Assistant and Driving Assistant Plus used to only be optional for models in the BMW 7 Series, but will now be available in other models as well. This is good news for driver safety as the package includes Lane Departure Warning, pedestrian and collision warning with braking function and Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go Function.
