The new BMW experts at Ganley BMW all get excited to find out new information regarding the future of BMW. We know the residence in the Cleveland area feel the same way and will be jealous when they read this: BMW is giving pedestrians on 42nd Street and 6th Avenue in NYC a glimpse of what's to come first hand.

Through the use of digital projection and motion detection technology, BMW has built a window display that illustrates how the new i sub-brand stands to bring positive change to the automotive world. As city traffic passes in front of the camera, it is displayed in real time on a large screen. The only difference is that instead of being shown in their actual form, cars are converted into one of two models: either the BMW i3 EV or i8 plug-in hybrid.

As cool as this transition is, it is not all the German automaker has to offer its onlookers. As city traffic is converted to various BMW i models, numerous statistics are calculated referencing fuel savings and emission reductions.

Here's an example from a video that grabbed our attention.

In one weeks' time, a total of 248,368 vehicles were digitally transformed into BMW i models.  If this transition were real, they'd save a whopping $493,507,216 a year on gas and produce 1,324,919 fewer tons of CO2 emissions per year collectively.
